Baby Mario is a lightweight character who debuted in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, who rides on Yoshi's back during their adventure in the game.
Baby Mario also appears in the Mario Kart series starting with Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, while his brother Baby Luigi also appears in. He returns in Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Mario Kart Tour.
Characteristics[]
Baby Mario is the baby counterpart of Mario. He is about half the size of Mario, and has light blue shoes instead of brown. He still wears blue overalls and a red shirt. He doesn't have a mustache like regular Mario, because he is just a baby. He has the same reddish brown hair as Mario, and even this early on, Baby Mario already has his famous red hat with his initial (M) on it.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!![]
Baby Mario makes his Mario Kart debut in this game. His default partner is Baby Luigi, just like how Mario and Luigi are partners in this game. He and Baby Luigi are lightweights, meaning they can use karts that depend on the weight of their partner, and both have the Chain Chomp as their Special Item. Baby Mario's personal kart is the Goo-Goo Buggy, while his personal course is Baby Park.
Mario Kart Wii[]
Baby Mario returns in Mario Kart Wii, being a default lightweight racer, which means he can only drive Small karts and bikes. Like Mario, Baby Mario's primary color is red and his secondary color is blue. Much of Baby Mario's vehicles use their traditional color scheme, such as the Tiny Titan, Magikruiser, Cheep Charger, and his signature vehicle, the Blue Falcon. He strongly boosts Weight and Handling.
Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe)[]
Baby Mario makes another return in Mario Kart 8. In this game, he is one of the lightest racers in the game alongside all the other babies, Lemmy, and a Small Mii. His signature vehicle is the Biddybuggy.
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Baby Mario's stats have been adjusted, and now he only shares his stats with Baby Luigi, Dry Bones and a Small Mii.
Mario Kart Tour[]
Baby Mario also appears as of the release of the spin-off title, Mario Kart Tour. He is classified as a Normal driver, where is Special Skill is the Boomerang Flower, which Baby Luigi also happens to have.
