Baby Rosalina is a racer who debuts in Mario Kart 8 as a lightweight racer. She is the infant counterpart of Rosalina.

Characteristics

Baby Rosalina is about 1/3 the size of Rosalina. She still maintains the same color as the dress (light blue), but it is a lot smaller and has blue trim on the bottom. She has blue baby shoes and white socks. Baby Rosalina also has a golden chest piece in the shape of a star. Her hair is platinum blonde, and she still has a large bang that covers her right eye. Her crown is the same, silver with red and blue jewels, and her eyes are a rich blue color. She also doesn't have her wand. The Luma that was circling Rosalina in Mario Kart Wii doesn't accompany Baby Rosalina. But as a trade, she gets a pacifier.

Trivia!

  • Similarly to Toadette in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Baby Daisy in Mario Kart Wii, and Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina is introduced as a completely new character, unseen in the franchise before.
  • She is one of two characters that were introduced in Mario Kart 8 to make a first appearance in the Mario series, the other being Pink Gold Peach.
  • Baby Rosalina is shown to have blonde hair (much like her adult form). Although, in Super Mario Galaxy, she is shown to have orange-golden hair as a child/teenager in the storybook which Rosalina is telling the Lumas in the Library.
