Ball 'n' Chains (also spelt as Ball And Chains) are swinging Spiked Balls attached to a large Chain. They swing like a Pendilum knocking over any racers that are foolish enough to run into it. One Ball 'n' Chain is seen in the Bowser's Castle of Mario Kart 8/Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is located on the ramp after the Podoboo Cog.
