The Banana Barrel (バナナバレル/Banana Bareru in Japenese) is a yellow-striped barrel with a silver river around the top of the barrel, inside is a bunch of darkness. This item is originally from Mario Kart Tour.
The Banana Barrel is a barrel that sets itself on both sides of the vehicle and shoots multiple Bananas in front of the racer. This item is only in Mario Kart Tour so far. This is a special skill for Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, and the Light Green Mii Racing Suit. With the Banana Barrels+, the racer can shoot Giant Bananas along with the regular Bananas. The Banana Barrels will dissapear if the racer is hit. The Bananas surround the racer if there is a Banana Barrel Frenzy Action. The Banana Barrels shoot 16 Bananas.

You can use this item to hit racers in front of you to get ahead of them.
Defense[]
You can use the Bananas to block incoming Items/Hazards.
Protection[]
As above, you can use the Bananas shot out of the barrels to protect yourself from incoming threats.
