Blinky is a character from the Pac-Man video games. He is a playable racer in Mario Kart Arcade GP and its successor, Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. Him, along with Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man, are all from the Pac-Man video games and marks the first appearance of characters from other games in Mario Kart. Blinky is an all-around character that uses items from various Namco games.
Blinky's racer icon is his classic ghost appearance in Pac-Man over a dark blue circle.
Characteristics[]
Blinky is one of the four ghosts who chase Pac-Man throughout the maze in the arcade game, Pac-Man. The other ghosts' names are Inky, Pinky, and Clyde (Sue in Ms. Pac-Man). But this page isn't about them, so let's get on to Blinky.
Blinky is a red ghost. He is round with a jagged end (what do you expect a ghost to look like?). In Mario Kart Arcade GP and Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, Blinky has arms with orange gloves on either side of his body. His eyes are similar to Pac-Man's (they both have black pupils with slices barely cutting into them), but Blinky's have white along the outside. His eyebrows are slanted downward in an angry fashion, implying that he is mad about never catching Pac-Man in the maze. Either that or he is losing the race.
Blinky had a more simplistic design to him back in the classic arcade game. He had the same ghostly shape, but he was made of barely any pixels. His eyes were less detailed and had blue pupils, and he lacks arms and gloves. Yeah, he sure is thankful for those orange gloves. Otherwise, he couldn't use the steering wheel on his kart.
