Block Plaza is a Battle Stage in Mario Kart Wii. It's based around Block City from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and Block Fort from Mario Kart 64. There are four characters on the upper platforms (Mario (red platform; east according to the in-game map), Luigi (green platform; south according to the in-game map), Peach (blue platform; west according to the in-game map), and Daisy (yellow platform; north according to the in-game map)) and there is also lower level block platforms and another block platform at the top. Over time, these platforms and others fall down, creating huge holes. There are purple, orange, blue, green, red, and yellow forts connected by gray bridges. In the background are Stars and Mushrooms like from the old Mario games. This battle course has not appeared as a retro battle course yet.
Every minute of the battle, the platforms fall, so you want to be careful not to just blast a mushroom at a lower platform when it strikes 2:00.00. The order of the falling platforms is as follows:
- The block platforms in the lower level and the purple block platform in the upper-level fall when the time strikes 2 minutes (or called 2:00.00). This makes seven holes (a small trapezoidal hole and a larger rectangular hole in the northwest (green) corner, two roughly triangular holes in the southeast (yellow) corner, a single large square hole in the southwest (red) corner, and a blue hole shaped like a square with a bite taken out of it in the northeast (blue) corner).
- The character platforms will still be standing until the 1:00.00 mark, where they too will fall down, making 11 huge holes for an unfortunate player to fall in.
