The Bolt Buggy is a kart appearing in the Mario Kart series. It first appeared in Mario Kart 7, and later reappeared in Mario Kart Tour.
Description[]
The Bolt Buggy is a bright yellow kart that looks similar in build to the Pipe Frame kart, and has a pair of headlights at the front.

Mario Kart 7[]
The Bolt Buggy in Mario Kart 7.
In Mario Kart 7, it is one of the three kart bodies available from the start. The Bolt Buggy offers a boost in speed, weight and off-road, but hinders acceleration and handling. In terms of hidden stats, its speed is hindered whilst airborne or underwater, and lowers Mini-Turbo and drift. It is tied with the B Dasher and Blue Seven for having the lowest acceleration of all kart bodies, and also has the lowest calculated stat of all kart bodies.
The Bolt Buggy's engine is a lower-pitched version of the Shooting Star, Poltergust 4000, Egg 1, Mushmellow, Power Flower, Banisher, Zipper, ROB-BLS and ROB-LGS's kart engines from Mario Kart DS.
The Bolt Buggy seems to serve as Donkey Kong's signature kart (along with the Barrel Train), showcased in all of his official artworks of the game.
Mario Kart Tour[]

In Mario Kart Tour, the Bolt Buggy is paired with the Monster tires from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The Bolt Buggy increases the duration of Slipstreams and the points earned for getting them. This is the signature kart for Funky Kong. There are also two variants, the Dark Buggy and Green Lightning. The Bolt Buggy is classified as a Super Kart, while its variants are High-End instead.
