Boo Cinema is a new race course from Mario Kart World. It is the third course of the Leaf Cup, and is set in the northeastern area, in the haunted east part of the forest that encompasses the northern regions of the island where the game takes place.
As its name implies, Boo Cinema is set in a haunted movie theatre with ghosts.
Layout[]
There are four sections to the course: the outside area to the southeast, the hallways to the seats, the seats, and inside the movie screen.
Areas[]
Starting Area (Booths)[]
This is a northwest-southeast path just outside the theatre on the southeast edge. The starting line is located here. The northwest end of the path has a door leading into the theatre, as does the southwest end. The former also has a path leading west to Dry Bones Burnout, Acorn Heights and the SNES Mario Circuit amalgamation, and the latter a path leading south to Dandelion Depths with a branching path to Starview Peak.
Hallways[]
Two hallways lead to the seats. The hallway used to enter the theatre from the west is less straight than the hallway used to exit it to the south.
Seats[]
In the centre of the theatre is the main room, where ghosts sit down to watch a movie. The screen contains a portal to the film strip area.
Film Strip Area (Inside the Movie Screen)[]
When the racers drive through the film screen, they end up in a pocket dimension with a film strip that serves as a road. The film strip ends in a Glide Panel that leads back through the movie screen, as the racers head south to the exit.
Course Route[]
When the racers begin, they begin next to a booth. They then enter the theatre with three right turns, followed by a left turn, after which they head down a path between the seats and jump into the movie screen, whereupon they are warped into a pocket dimension, driving on an oversized film strip. Following a right turn, the racers make a left U-turn before dropping down to a straightaway, and then dropping into another left U-turn that leads into a right turn, which in turn leads to the aforementioned Glide Panel. The racers are then ejected from the movie screen, whereupon they take another path that heads south through another entrance to the theatre, before making a sharp right to the starting line.
There is a grind rail in the middle of the track at the last turn.
