The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass, often abbreviated as the Booster Course Pass or BCP, is a set of paid DLC for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game, initially announced on February 9th, 2022 in a Nintendo Direct. 48 Tracks were to be added to the game across 6 waves, with the final wave releasing on November 9th, 2023. Most of the tracks included in the DLC are remastered versions of race courses from past installments in the series. Along with this, a decent portion of the courses included are newcomers from the Mario Kart Tour spin-off game. However, a select few of the tracks in the DLC have been advertised as being new tracks. Each wave consists of two cups with four tracks each, adding up to eight tracks per wave. From the fourth wave onward, eight Characters returning from older Mario Kart titles were added to the DLC. Additionally, in the sixth and final wave, seventeen new Mii Racing Suits for the Mii characters were also added and are only able to be accessed and used by people who possess the DLC.
Owners of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game can purchase the Booster Course Pass DLC through the Nintendo eShop at a price of $24.99. Alternatively, players can purchase a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass membership which will grant the DLC for free. All waves of courses and characters will be unlocked upon purchase of the DLC.

Trivia![]
- Wave 1 is the only wave in the DLC where none of the tracks included feature the Anti-gravity mechanic.
- Waves 1, 3, and 6 are technically the only waves that don't include "new" tracks (Ninja Hideaway, Merry Mountain, and Piranha Plant Cove appeared in Mario Kart Tour before their debut in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, despite being unlabeled).
- According to datamines, it seems plausible that Wii Moonview Highway or 3DS Rosalina's Ice World may have completely scrapped a new, prefix-less course, due to how both of their filenames indicate their original placements, of which, were on spots once thought to be held by a new courses thanks to the prefix leak.
- Besides the RMX courses, Piranha Plant Pipeline is the only new course from Mario Kart Tour to not be included as part of the DLC.
- Despite this, Piranha Plant Pipeline may very well have been originally planned for the DLC as evidenced by datamines, suggesting that there was another prefix-less course in Wave 6 along with two others, both these two being Piranha Plant Cove and the presumably scrapped new course. This prefix-less course might have been Piranha Plant Pipeline, either way however, it has evidently since been replaced with another course bearing a prefix for as of yet unknown reasons.
- DS Shroom Ridge was incorrectly labelled as a 3DS course instead of a DS one for a brief period on the official website for the DLC.
- Concurrently, on the desktop version of the official website, the icon for Wii Rainbow Road is mistakenly using an image of 3DS Rainbow Road. This issue has since been fixed on the mobile version of the site, though still persists on desktop versions.
