Bowser Castle 1 is the last track of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. This track makes a retro appearance in Mario Kart 7 as the second track of the Shell Cup, and in Mario Kart Tour as of the game's release.
This Bowser Castle variant is the shortest of the next three, but still it's quite dangerous as there as the background is full of lava, there is some Thwomps, and some ramps with Podoboos coming out.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit[]
It is very short compared to the succeeding tracks, has a lot of Coins in some areas, and features Podoboos in lava pits as well as Thwomps. Its background looks like a castle wall with a Bowser face imprinted on it. The music is the same as Bowser Castle 2 and Bowser Castle 3 and Bowser Castle 4. The Super Mario Kart Bowser Castle 1 uses this background also.
Mario Kart 7[]
This track reappears in Mario Kart 7 as a retro course in the Shell Cup. This track received updated graphics, and a Glide Panel has been added at the first ramp section. In that game, the track is famous for being the first retro track to receive a patch update for online play. The patch prevents a shortcut loophole.
Mario Kart Tour[]
This track returns in Mario Kart Tour, but nothing much has been changed since it's appearance in Mario Kart 7. Instead, it has updated graphics.
Shortcuts[]
- In Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour, there is a Dash Panel ramp at the end of the track in between lava. However, a glider is needed to reach it.
