Choco Island 2

Choco Island 2 is the second of the five Tracks of the Star Cup in Super Mario Kart, the last track of the Extra Lightning Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and the first track of the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart DS. This track then appeared in Mario Kart Tour, first appearing as part of the Tokyo Tour. It is set to return again in Mario Kart World, located just outside N64 Choco Mountain, a course with a similar theme, though it is unknown if it will be selectable from the menu.

The Staff Ghost setup is Waluigi in the Zipper.

Layout[]

Super Mario Kart[]

Like Choco Island 1, this one has Piranha Plants as hazards. With a large pool of mud and a lot of mud pads which create artificial jumps, it's hard to keep a good traction. This track is the first of the hard tracks of the original game, in the way that it's the first one in which it is possible to fail to qualify and therefore, lose a life.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit[]

This track returns in Mario Kart: Super Circuit with the Piranha Plants removed and has the background of GBA Sunset Wilds.

Mario Kart DS[]

Choco Island 2 returns in Mario Kart DS as the first course of Lightning Cup, with the graphics improved and the Piranha Plants re-added as well.

Shortcuts[]

At the beginning of the track, one can use a Mushroom or Star to go through the hole, skipping the first turn. ^{✱ for all games}
