The Cloud Glider is an unlockable glider that can be found in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This glider is shaped like two Lakitu Clouds. It also appears in Mario Kart Tour.
Description[]
The Cloud Glider doesn't resemble a glider, but it uses two Lakitu Cloud Balloons that are joined to each other for a similar purpose.
How to Unlock[]
- Collect as many Coins as you can and hope you get lucky.
- Purchase from the Daily Selects for 10,000 Coins if it appears.
- Or obtain it from the Pipe/Golden Pipe.

This glider first appears in the Mario Kart in Mario Kart 8. This glider gives a boost in acceleration, but at the cost of lower weight. Its stats are identical with the Peach Parasol, the Parachute, the Parafoil, the Bowser Kite, the MKTV Parafoil, and the Hylian Kite.

Mario Kart Tour[]
The Cloud Glider returns in the mobile spin-off game Mario Kart Tour as a High-End Glider. This glider has Lightning Plus, which increases the chances of obtaining a Lightning from an Item Box.
Overtime, 5 variants of the Cloud Glider have since been released: The Rainy Balloons, the Blizzard Balloons, the Sunset Balloons, the Aurora Balloons, and the Tropical Balloons, which have Lightning Plus, Bullet Bill Plus, Banana Plus, Mushroom Plus, and Blooper Plus, respectively. Just like the normal Cloud Glider, all of these variants are High-End Gliders.
