The Dry Bomber is Dry Bones' third kart in Mario Kart DS. The other two are the Standard DB and the Banisher. This kart is most likely the most popular kart in Mario Kart DS.

The Quacker seems to replace this kart in Mario Kart Wii, with very similar stats. The only difference is the tighter drift on the Quacker, as it is a bike.

Description

The Dry Bomber resembles a desert tank, possibly the M1 Abrams assault tank (These tanks are extremely fast, and none have been destroyed in combat). Instead of tank treads, it has black wheels with yellow rims. There is armor plating where the bumper should be, and machinery on the hood. The cockpit juts out a little, and it has an artillery barrel going past the front of the kart by about half a foot. The whole kart is a tan, sandy color, and the logos are on either side of the kart, next to the steering wheel. The default icon is Dry Bones', which is a side view of his skull.

Stats

The kart has a low maximum speed but boasts with full acceleration and handling in the game, and is very light. This, combined with its long mini-turbos (six arrows in Time Trials), makes it ideal for snaking. This is one of the best karts to snake with, along with the Egg 1, Poltergust 4000 and ROB-BLS, and is frequently used by beginners learning the advanced technique. With its great acceleration, it can snake and plow through any Off-Road, allowing for a greater margin of error than with other snaking karts, and it recovers from items or obstacles very quickly. However, when compared to the other ideal snaking karts, it has the lowest top speed and the highest drift, making it a lesser choice for more experienced players.

Stat Name Stat Value
Speed 3.4
Acceleration 10.0
Weight 4.0
Handling 10.0
Drift 4.9

Trivia!

  • The Dry Bomber is the only kart in the game with two simultaneously highest stats in the game. The only kart with the two simultaneously lowest stats in the game is the Tyrant.
    • Ironically, they are both the lowest or highest in the same stats: acceleration and handling.
