The stage as it appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl with those careless Shy Guys. Tip: When you see them, move.
Figure-8 Circuit (originally titled Mario Circuit) is a brawl stage in the Wii game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It also reappears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (as Mario Circuit (Brawl)) and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (under it's current name). Although it originally shared the name of the Mario Circuits in Mario Kart, it shows no resemblance to any of them. In fact, it looks more similar to Luigi Circuit on Mario Kart Wii than any other Mario Circuits. It probably takes its form from Figure-8 Circuit in Mario Kart DS, hence its name in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Track[]
Similar to other stages in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Figure-8 Circuit doesn't adhere to traditional racecourse dynamics; it's two-dimensional. The track features two ramps with a floating platform over the bottom section, providing fighters access to the upper level.
Shy Guys in colored karts continuously traverse the course, posing a threat to players in their path on both the upper and lower sections. On the lower track, you can anticipate Shy Guys approaching around the loop, offering ample time to evade. However, on the upper track, their approach is less visible, requiring heightened alertness. Players can retaliate by attacking the Shy Guys, causing them to spin off the track—a satisfying payback for their previous collisions.
In the background, a stadium resembling Luigi Circuit's is filled with spectators. A map layout screen illustrates the track's figure-8 shape and the trajectory of the Shy Guys. Additionally, a sign reading "Mario Circuit" serves as a reminder of the stage's name, except in Ultimate.
