The Frying Pan (フライパン), also known in some games as Peach's Frying Pan, is a Special Item reserved for Princess Peach in the first two games of the Mario Kart Arcade franchise and a throw forward item in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. A signature weapon of the Mushroom Kingdom ruler, this kitchen utensil can be used to bash other racers.

If the player is using Peach as their character, they are open to the use of the Frying Pan. Once an opponent is in close proximity of the user's Kart, they can press the Item button to "smash" the enemy driver with a "powerful blow" (heh heh...). The smack of the Frying Pan slows down racers tremendously.
Besides a slight redesign, the newer version from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX can be used by all racers as their Throw forward Item.

- Peach's Frying Pan first appeared in the SNES game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars as a purchasable Item.
- Probably the most recognizable appearance of the Frying Pan, however, is in the Super Smash Bros. series when Peach uses it as her side smash move (in conjunction with her tennis racket and golf driver).
