The Hot Monster, also known as the Funky Monster in Australia/Europe and the Wild Hot (ワイルドホット) in Japan are a set of unlockable wheels in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
They offer a weight and traction boost in compromise for lowered acceleration and handling. Its stats are identical with the Monster tires.
These tires are a variant of the Monster tires that also appear in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, where they share the same stats. A similar concept is the Red Monster, which appears in Mario Kart 7. The Hot Monster features circular treads instead of chevron-shaped treads, as well as an orange tire frame of black.
