Larry Koopa is one of the seven newcomers announced for Mario Kart 8 and one of the seven Koopalings. Not much is known about his appearance in the aforementioned game.
Characteristics
Larry Koopa is one of the seven Koopas who are Bowser's main minions in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He attacks Mario and/or Luigi with deadly blue energy blasts. In Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, he is now a little bit more peaceable and races other characters.
Larry Koopa has the same basic build of a regular Koopa Troopa- he is mainly yellow, he has a green head, yellow tail, and also has a tan mouth and chest. However, Larry Koopa's shell is a light blue, and it is crowded with spikes. On his wrists are black bands that also have metal spikes (He's trying to look a little tougher like Bowser with all those spikes, but he'll need a more threatening hair style and be able to shoot fir out of his mouth if he wants to look more strong and tough.) He has a large tuft of hair that's blue. His mouth is lined with jagged teeth. Also, in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, he has a magic silver rod with an amber gemstone in the center. Larry and the other Koopalings wands are nowhere to be found in Mario Kart. On his hands and feet, he has sharp white claws, he has four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. He also has white pads on the plant of his feet.
He is the Staff Ghost for Electrodrome.

- Unlike the rest of the Koopalings, Larry was not named after any musician. Former Nintendo employee Dayvv Brooks stated "he simply looked like a Larry".
- He is seen as the DJ in Electrodome, according to most people.
- When Larry Koopa debuted in the Mario franchise, he originally had white hair.
