The Light Tripper is Peach's unlockable tertiary Kart in Mario Kart DS. The other two are her primary kart, the Royale, and her Standard Kart, the Standard PC.
Description[]

Peach in her Light Tripper on the Select Kart screen.
The Light Tripper features a light yellow hood in the front, and the exhaust pipes look like wings. It looks exactly like Daisy's Light Dancer, except that the Light Dancer's color scheme is dark pink instead, and has a slightly different stat distribution.
How to unlock[]
- Complete all Nitro Grand Prix cups in the 100cc engine class.
- Alternatively, the player can complete all Nitro or Retro Grand Prix cups in the 150cc engine class. This opens up the Light Tripper to both Daisy and Dry Bones once every character can choose between seven different karts.
To let any other character use it, complete all cups in Mirror Mode.
Statistics[]
The Light Tripper is notorious for having the highest drift stat in the game, at a perfect score of 100. Although it allows for the tightest, fastest drifting turns in the game, it makes straightaway Mini-Turbos (and consequently snaking) virtually impossible. Aside from this, the Light Tripper has extremely atypical stats for a kart of its class; its acceleration is its only other good stat, while its handling is mediocre. Both of these stats are the lowest among all small karts belonging to light racers, and make this one of the most punishing light karts to use overall for very little tangible reward due to its mediocre top speed.
Its high drift can come in handy for beginners trying to navigate courses with sharp turns, such as GCN Baby Park and N64 Choco Mountain. However, its extreme flaws soon become apparent even well before players master snaking, as said drift combined with the kart's low handling make it incredibly unwieldy for driving optimally through any other course. It does not even have access to three Mushrooms in Time Trials as the Royale does, making it incapable of taking shortcuts that could minimize necessary drifting time. Due to these factors, the Light Tripper is considered one of the worst vehicles in Mario Kart DS.
The Light Tripper's weight is equivalent to Daisy's Light Dancer, and its handling is shared with Wario's Brute.
