New York Minute is a track in Mario Kart Tour, being first introduced in it's namesake tour, the New York Tour. It would receive multiple variants over the coming years, with the second arriving in the 2019 Holiday Tour, the third in the 1st Anniversary Tour, and the fourth being introduced in the 2nd Anniversary Tour. Additionally, it received a battle course variation in the 2022 Autumn Tour, referred to as "New York Minute B".
The course takes place in New York City, and it was inspired by the newest main Mario title, Super Mario Odyssey, which features Pauline's city, New Donk City. This course later reappeared in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of Wave 2 of the Booster Course Pass DLC, as the first track in the Turnip Cup.

Mario Kart Tour[]
New York Minute 1[]
The start of the race takes place in the middle of Times Square, where multiple unique ads can be seen. Once the race starts, racers are sent slightly to the right, as metal barriers are blocking the other pathway. They are sent through Broadway and later enter Central Park via a bridge, taking a large left turn that ends up sending them under the bridge they just went over. Racers continue through Central Park until a right turn that directs them back into the city, where metal barriers send them left and back right again. Continuing down, potholes that act as Waterspout shoot up from the ground for tricking off of. Then there is a right turn, followed by a straightaway, and another right turn that leads racers to the Finish Line.
New York Minute 2[]
It starts out just like New York Minute 1, right in the center of Times Square. This time, racers are sent slightly left instead of right, heading through Broadway and eventually ending up in Central Park. Once in the park, racers take a left into the dirt path similar to the first variant, but in reverse, which ends after the bridge. Racers are then directed left, where there is a small straightaway that bypasses the route in New York Minute 1, and afterwards a right turn takes them to a glider ramp. After gliding beside the Empire State Building, racers then follow the rest of the first variant to the Finish Line.
New York Minute 3[]
Just like the other variants, New York Minute 3 starts in the heart of Times Square. Racers follow the route of the second variant until the turn to Central Park, where racers are forced to go straight under the bridge, similar to the first variant. After coming out of Central Park, racers bypass the Rockefeller Center, and are sent directly into 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Racers then proceed through a red carpet and down multiple flights of stairs, where the last ramp leads into a parking garage. Racers would then take a long right turn through a dimly lit tunnel to the Finish Line, where the Statue of Liberty can be seen out a set of windows.
New York Minute 4[]
This variant is a unique take on the other three variants, with the layout changing within the two laps, and even some added elements. The course starts by having racers on the right side of a metal barrier that separates the track in two. You are sent down the route of New York Minute 1, although there is now a ramp with a Dash Panels that lets you jump over multiple cars. It continues similarly to the first variant, having you go through Central Park and later under the bridge, although after the bridge section there is another ramp with a Dash Panels that propels you over another set of cars. You then take a route similar to New York Minute 3, with you going through 30 Rockefeller Plaza, and later popping out back toward the finish line. The second lap has you go on the left side of the barriers, and takes you through a route similar to New York Minute 2, though now instead of going through Central Park, you are diverted toward large trucks with ramps, Dash Panels, and glider ramps on them. Afterwards, you go down a straightaway and take a sharp right turn, similar to the path we take in the second variant, although now the glider ramp has been removed. Another few sharp right turns, and you're back at the finish.
New York Minute B[]
New York Minute B is a variation of the New York Minute course made specifically for battle mode, much like the battle courses seen in Mario Kart 8. Many paths are combined, making it able to choose your own route, though mainly the Rockefeller Center is blocked off.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]
New York Minute comes back as one of the city courses in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC, with a large graphical overhaul. As with other city courses in this game, this course utilizes integrated variants for each lap, including the first, second, and third variants of the course. The fourth variant was left out most likely due to it being a combination of the former variants, with no new sections.
The race starts out in the midst of Times Square, where many sponsors can be spotted. The first lap is much like New York Minute 1, where racers are sent slightly to the right, and out through Broadway. Racers then enter Central Park, where Giant Goombas now lie. After the long left turn, racers are sent under the bridge, and after another right turn, they find themselves back in the city. Similar to Tour Paris Promenade, there is a split path exclusive to this version where one is faster and the other isn't. In this track's case, the slower path now has an optional glider ramp that takes racers over a bus to get Double Item Boxes, whereas the other path only has singles. Shortly after, all racers take a sharp right where two stationary taxis act as minor obstacles. Another sharp right leads to the Finish Line.
The second lap follows the layout of New York Minute 2, with racers taking a slight left into and through Broadway, and later into Central Park. Racers go through part of the first lap in reverse, before being greeted by the same split path in the last lap. It follows the same route as the first lap from then on, until the third lap.
Finally, the third lap follows the same layout as New York Minute 3, where racers take a slight left through Broadway and later turn right toward the bridge. Racers then take a sharp right, and proceed to head into the 30 Rockefeller Plaza, where a trip through the garage and a U-turn leads them to the Finish Line.
