The Phantom is an unlockable Large bike in Mario Kart Wii. It's one of three unlockable bikes in the Large class along with the Shooting Star (Twinkle Star) and the Spear (Torpedo). It is King Boo's signature vehicle, with average stats as well as good Weight and high Off-Road (the highest in the Large class), but it suffers with the lowest Drift stat in the game. The bike does not feature a kart counterpart; however, it is the group counterpart of the Dolphin Dasher, and the Zip Zip is its medium counterpart.
Description[]
The Phantom's design is based on a Harley Davidson Road King. This is a rather large bike with a similar design to the Sneakster, especially from the front as they both feature a headlight bike features a front headlight at the center. The distinct feature of the Phantom is the large rocket-shaped fins at the rear that hold two exhaust pipes each.

How to Unlock[]

- Or play 4,050 Races.
Statistics[]
The Phantom features average Mini-Turbo. Its best stat is Off-Road, which rivals that of the Dolphin Dasher. Its Handling, Weight, Speed, and Acceleration are also good. However, the bike suffers with the worst Drift stat in the game (though the Spear's drifting capabilities are worse). It drifts outwards, making it difficult for beginners to control the bike.
Because of the Phantom's extremely good off-road capabilities, it's a good choice on Shy Guy Beach, where the preferred racing line makes extensive use of off-road portions of the map. However, its abysmal drift combined with outside drift makes it terrible on tracks with sharp turns.

Trivia![]
- Donkey Kong drove this bike during the first August 2008 competition.
- Additionally, he uses this as the Normal Staff Ghost on N64 DK's Jungle Parkway.
- The Phantom is one of the seven vehicles in Mario Kart Wii to go through a design change other than a palette-swap, the others being the Booster Seat, Bit Bike, Flame Runner, Wario Bike, Shooting Star and Spear. In this case, Rosalina's Phantom has its foot pedestals positioned further, and its center is slightly thinner in appearance. Also, Bowser's and Dry Bowser's Phantom have their handles positioned lower than the other ones.
- This, Wario Bike, and Shooting Star are the only bikes in Mario Kart Wii where characters don't flail their legs when going through a cannon.
- This is the only large vehicle in Mario Kart Wii besides Dry Bowser on the Wario Bike that can drift off road (even though the Offroader should be able to because of its name).
- It's possible that the Phantom is King Boo's signature vehicle.
- The Phantom was not used in any world record runs until July 21, 2024.
- The Phantom has the same speed as the Magikruiser.
- Additionally, it has the same weight as the Wild Wing.
- The Phantom is considered the heavyweight counterpart of the Magikruiser and the Dolphin Dasher, albeit with an outside drift
