Not to be confused with Piranha Plant Slide, the course from Mario Kart 7, or Piranha Plant Pipeline, another new course in Mario Kart Tour.
Piranha Plant Cove is a track first introduced in the 2023 Exploration Tour in Mario Kart Tour. The third variant for this course was introduced in the 2023 Mii Tour. This track makes it's first reappearance as one of the tracks in Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, being the fourth and last track of the Acorn Cup.
The course takes place primarily in an underwater ancient temple, with many Unagis, Clams and Waterspouts. It also features a forested island and a large shipwreck field.

Mario Kart Tour[]
Piranha Plant Cove 1[]
The start of the course takes place underwater, similar to the Dolphin Shoals course from Mario Kart 8. The starting banner features the modern Mario Kart logo with a magenta hue, and two Bulbers sit atop both posts. After the start, you go down a small straight into a split path similar to the one seen in GBA Boo Lake. This split path also has falling pillars akin to the ones seen in Wii Dry Dry Ruins, though they have a different design that matches the aesthetic of this course. After that, you go up a large set of stairs, where multiple Waterspouts are present half-way up, which will greatly ascend you toward the top of the steps if taken.
As you reach the top, you will come out of the water into an unsubmerged part of the ruins, where afterwards you race down a few steps into a straightaway before taking a left into another straight under some arches. The ground breaks up half-way through the straight, which leaves a small gap in-between that can be tricked over. Afterwards, you head back down into the water, though still racing on the ruins, where you will take a left onto some steps that has an optional rock ramp at the top. All of that takes you above water once again, although this doesn't last for long as you then take a left down a large flight of steps back to the sea floor. Once at the bottom, you are sent right toward an optional slanted surface off to the left that allows for tricks, and a Dash Panel off to the right that leads into a Thwomp. Moving forward, you then head into a cavern where the same layout of obstacles from before are here but in the opposite positions. Afterwards, you take a left out of the cavern where another slanted surface is present, before taking another left toward the Finish Line.
Piranha Plant Cove 2[]
Unlike the previous variant, this variant starts out in a completely different part of the course, with it starting on the end of a forested island. The starting line here is made up wooden logs acting as supports and it features the modern Mario Kart logo with a turquoise color. Starting off, you head straight toward a set of stairs that leads you into a Glide Ramp that takes you over the water and onto a landing pad with a hieroglyphic of Petey Piranha in the middle. Not long afterwards, you take a steep drop down into the water, where there are some Jellybeams present. Once on the sea floor, you take a long U-turn on a stone pathway into a cavern with two Clampys present, which have Coins inside them. After that, you then go through a winding pathway that takes you right under the large Pipe where the Unagi come out of, all before going down a straight toward the place where the starting line for the previous variant was. Waterspouts are also present here, unlike before.
This all leads to you going through a portion of the first variant's layout, where it is much the same with the exception of the absence of the Waterspouts on the large flight of stairs after the split path. Despite that, you keep following the former variant's layout up until the left turn into the arches, where you keep proceeding straight down into the water instead. Once you land back on the sea floor, you take a prolonged right turn through a coral reef-like area, before heading back onto the surface once again. After exiting the water, you are greeted with another split path, where players will take wooden steps that are present on either side up onto a dirt and sandy pathway. A Piranha Plant is near the path and will spin you out if you get to close, once avoided though, you go down a small straight before taking a slight left into the Finish Line.
Piranha Plant Cove 3[]
Just like the first variant, the racers begin their race underwater in the same location, facing the same direction as they did in the first. After the start, racers drive forward before being directed via a sharp left turn, where Fish Bones follow along with you, straight into a cave filled with crystals. Players then exit the cave, whilst taking a winding pathway down further underwater, where they bypass numerous shipwrecks, before encountering a path with many Waterspouts.
After making it through the windy path, players must avoid a Clampy before passing through two pillars, which leads them to the stone pathway previously seen in the second variant. Not long after, the player will bypass another Clampy before taking a sharp left toward a ramp which leads into a hole in the ground. This hole was not seen previously in the second variant, presumably being sealed off in order for the racers to pass over it. Once going through the hole however, the player will land on a set of stairs of which can be tricked off of, before entering yet another cave. Inside the cave, a Unagi can be seen peeking through an outcropping, of which will periodically snap at bypassing players. Afterwards, the racers then take a slight right before taking a hard left into a more enclosed part of the cave, where some trick ramps made of stone are present. Finally, the racers then emerge out of the underwater cave, before taking a sharp right back toward the Finish Line. On the final lap, a Unagi will lead you through the first cave entrance rather than Fish Bones.

- There are a few areas in this course where you are able to cut a few corners with a Mushroom or power item to get ahead, make sure to use these to your advantage!
- In the area with all the shipwrecks, one of those shipwrecks can be utilized as a shortcut, however a mushroom or power item is needed to access the ramp off the shipwreck.
