Rainbow Road is the last track of the Special Cup in Mario Kart World. It is the longest Rainbow Road in the series, beating out Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Roads.

Layout

This Rainbow Road is 4 sections, spanning a large portion of the map and outer space. It features elements from every Rainbow Road/Rainbow adjacent tracks prior, such as:

• The rainbow thwomps from SNES Rainbow Road.
• The flying train from N64 Rainbow Road.
• space station from DKR's Space tracks and DKBB Cosmic Highway.
• The clouds, shooting stars and trickable edges from GBA Rainbow Road.
• The launch star from GCN Rainbow Road and Wii Rainbow Road.
• The Aquatic/Crystal section from GP Rainbow Coaster/GP Rainbow Downhill.
• The star rings and similar musical motif from DS Rainbow Road.
• The boost rings and single-lap structure from 3DS Rainbow Road.
• The futuristic music during the space station segment and led panels from GPDX Pac-Man Stadium/Namco Circuit.
• The split paths and anti-gravity from Wii U Rainbow Road.
• The Fever-dream aesthetics in the final lap from SR2 Rainbow Road.

In Grand Prix Mode, or in Versus Mode with Intermissions active, the racers start at Peach Stadium and go through a warp field to a landing platform, which makes that platform function as a Section Gate. Otherwise, they start on that platform.

Trivia!

• This Rainbow Road is the longest in the series, taking approximately 4 and a half minutes to complete one lap.
• This course is not accessible in Free Roam, even after unlocking the Special Cup.
  • In addition, in VS Race it is only accessible either on its own or from Peach Stadium.
  • This Rainbow Road takes cues from previous Rainbow Roads. For example, the music features the motif from Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road.
