The Sports Coupe, also known as the Sports Coupé is an unlockable Kart in Mario Kart 8. It is a yellow and black body, which resembles a sports car.
Unlike most other karts, the exhaust pipe is located on the top of the trunk of the vehicle.
It offers good speed & weight, but bad acceleration & traction. Its handling gives no effect. Its stats are identical to the Mach 8, Circuit Special, B Dasher, and P-Wing.
The Sports Coupe appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe once again as an unlockable kart, only this time it increases traction and remains neutral in speed. It still has slightly bad acceleration and now shows a slight decrease in handling as well. The Sports Coupe now shares stats with the Mach 8 and Inkstriker.
CPU Controlled Daisy and Isabelle are mostly using this Kart body paired with the Standard tires.
A unique feature that the Sports Coupe possess is a supercharged engine; it shares this characteristic with the Mach 8, Circuit Special, B Dasher, P-Wing, and Blue Falcon.
