The Standard, also known as Normal, are a set of wheels that are available from the start in Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Although they are given a name in these two games, they appeared in all other previous Mario Kart games, being the only wheel available. The Standard tires are basically black tires with small yellow disks.
In both of the games, they offer no stats, meaning it gives no effect to the driver's performance. Its stats are identical with the Off-Road, Blue Standard, Retro Off-Road, and GLA Tires.

Mario Kart 7[]
The Standard wheels makes its first appearance in Mario Kart 7. Unlike most parts in the game, they do not affect the kart's stats.
Mario Kart 8 / Deluxe[]
The Standard wheels return in Mario Kart 8, with a different appearance from the previous installment. Minor changes on the design of the wheels were made, and the series logo is printed on it. Like its previous installment, it has the same stats as before (0 in every category).
A variant of the Standard, called the Blue Standard, also appears in Mario Kart 8, where they share the same stats.
