The Standard ATV( also known as the Standard Quad) is an ATV available from the start in Mario Kart 8. It's one of the four ATVs in the game, and pretty much the basic model.

Description

Like a lot of the vehicles in Mario Kart 8, the Standard ATV has different paint jobs on it. But instead of doing each one separately, you can see them down below on the chart, showing their color specifications. For Mario and Baby Mario, and red Yoshi, its body is red. It also has blue handle bars and red spindles, and the emblem of the character is placed at the front of the ATV. However, it changes color depending on the driver, having a wide variety of color schemes. It offers good weight and traction, but bad acceleration and handling. It shares its stats with the Steel Driver, Tri-Speeder, Badwagon, and GLA.

Mario Kart Trivia

Most CPU-controlled characters will always pair it with the Monster tires, but some lightweight characters will use the Standard tires with this vehicle instead.
ATV stands for "All Terrain Vehicle". So it must be nice for Off-Road situations.
