The Standard TD is Toad's Standard Kart in Mario Kart DS.

The Standard TD is just like all other Standard karts in the game, but is colored blue, matching the color of Toad's blue vest, and the emblem is a cartoon deciption of a Mushroom, unless if the emblem is changed by the player. In fact, the kart is the successor to the Toad Kart from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, as they bare a heavy resemblance, but lacks the railings and platform for another racer to stand on. This is one of the 16 karts available from the start of the game.

Through the game, only Toad can use this kart, however, if the player can complete all cups in Mirror Mode, any other character can use this kart.

During Grand Prix and VS races, a CPU-controlled Toad chooses the Standard TD to race more frequently that his other karts, the Mushmellow and 4-Wheel Cradle.

Statistics

The Standard TD offers acceleration as its highest stat, but offers speed as its lowest stat. Its weight is equivalent to all other standard karts, its handling is shared with R.O.B.'s Standard RB, and its drift is shared with Bowser's Standard BW.

When the Standard TD is used by Toad, its weight total adds up to 49, which is equivalent to Luigi's Poltergust 4000 (when used with Luigi) and Dry Bones's Banisher (when used with Dry Bones).
