SNES

An SNES with an SNES controller.

  • The SNES is the first console to have a Mario Kart game released on it.
  • Because of limitations at the time, this game along with many SNES games had to use a enhanced graphics chip called Mode-7 that rotated 2-dimensional images on a 3-dimensional plane to give the illusion of 3D.
