Sydney Sprint is a city track featured in Mario Kart Tour, and later reappeared as part of the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as the first track in the Propeller Cup.
It is named after and inspired by Sydney, Australia, and made its debut in the April–May 2021 Sydney Tour, the city's namesake tour. It would then go on to receive it's second variant in the September 2021 Sydney Tour, then later it's third in the Anniversary Tour. The course visits various landmarks of the city it is based on, including letting racers go inside the Sydney Opera House as well as going through a street where passengers on a train car throw various items at the road.

Mario Kart Tour[]
Sydney Sprint 1[]
The course starts out in Port Jackson, where just after the starting line you take a right turn then later a left turn into the Sydney Opera House, where there is a crowd full of Toads, Shy Guys, and Koopas cheering you on. You then take a glider ramp over the water, where after landing you take a 270-degree turn, where you drive right under the arches of the Luna Park sign. Shortly after you enter the Sydney Harbour Bridge, where a Tangara train comes along side you. Passengers on the train tend to throw mushrooms, Bananas, and even Bob-ombs onto the road. Afterwards you take a few turns before one last long turn toward the finish line.
Sydney Sprint 2[]
Its stars out in the reverse direction this time around, where you drive part of Sydney Sprint 1 in reverse, going through the last turns, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in reverse. Though after the bridge, instead of going through Luna Park, you take a right into the Mary Booth Lookout Reserve. You then take another right turn into a glider ramp where you fly over the water and onto a small road with a ramp at the end. Then you take another right turn back towards Port Jackson, and a left into the finish line.
Sydney Sprint 3[]
Just like every other variant, it starts out in Port Jackson, but this time it starts in the same direction as Sydney Sprint 1. You start out by taking a slight left turn straight into a First Fleet class ferry, where you drive through it and jump out into Dawes Point, where a few turns later you find yourself in the Barangaroo Reserve. You drive through a winding pathway, with blocks in the middle that separate a few sections. Next, you turn in towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but instead of going through it, you are diverted back to the final section of Sydney Sprint 1, where you eventually make it to the finish line.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]
This track returns as part of wave 2 for the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Much like other city tracks in this game, this track combines all it's variants into one, making for the definitive Sydney Sprint experience.
It starts out just like Sydney Sprint 1, with you going the Sydney Opera House, flying into Luna Park, and driving through the Sydney Harbour Bridge, where there are now multiple ramps present, although they are in reverse this lap and are unusable. The passengers in the Tangara train now only throw Coins onto the road, unlike the mushrooms, bananas, and bob-ombs they used to throw in the original. The lap continues as normal until the next lap where you now take the route of the Sydney Sprint 3 variant.
The second lap proceeds just like Sydney Sprint 3, up until you head toward the Sydney Harbour Bridge where now you have to go through the bridge, unlike how it plays out in Tour. The ramps are now open to trick on, either that or you can take the alternative path below. Afterwards, you are diverted onto the path of Sydney Sprint 2, where you enter Mary Booth Lookout Reserve, and it plays out much of the same until the third lap.
The third lap is a reverse version of Sydney Sprint 1, where it plays out just like the first lap but in reverse. This all makes for a thrilling conclusion to the course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
