In this blog post, I'm going to list the Top 10 item ideas that I believe could have th epotential to succeed in Mario Kart.
Number 10[]
Number 10: The Mini Mushroom.
This power-up would shrink the user to a tiny size, but to make up for the small size, it would increase the player's speed and jump height, similar to how it works in the New Super Mario Bros series.
Number 9[]
Number 9: The Ice Flower.
This item would work like the Fire Flower, except it would freeze players into ice if the ice balls hit them.
Number 8[]
Number 8: The Heavy Mushroom.
This item would turn the user into metal, allowing them to bump other players around.
Number 7[]
Number 7: The Gold Shell and Triple Gold Shell.
This item would pretty much act like a Red Shell, except it would hit 5 racers before exploding.
Number 6[]
Number 6: The Black Shell and Triple Black Shell.
This item would pretty much act like a Green Shell, except it would explode on contact with another player.
Number 5[]
Number 5: The Hammer Flower.
This would pretty much be the Fire Flower, except the player would throw hammers instead. The hammers would flip over other players and make them lose all items in their possession.
Number 4[]
Number 4: The Blue Shell and Triple Blue Shell (not the spiky variant)
This item would be a combination of a Red Shell and an Ice Flower. It would lock onto the nearest player ahead of the user, flip them over, and freeze them into ice.
Number 3[]
Number 3: The Rock Mushroom.
This item would make the player super strong and double their speed. If the player were to hit another racer, it would knock them over and could knock them into a hole.
Number 2[]
Number 2: The Gold Flower.
Boom! Now we're talking! This power-up would be a stronger version of the Fire Flower, and it would be overly powerful, as it would blast players into the air and make them lose any items they're carrying.
Number 1[]
Number 1: The P-Wing.
This item will really made you spread your wings. You would only be able to obtain this item if you're in the back of the pack. This item will let you fly above the track, tripling your speed. It will wear off once you get in or close to 1st place.
