The Wild Wing is a Medium Kart in Mario Kart Wii. It is one of the three starter karts in the Medium class along with the Standard Kart M and the Classic Dragster (Nostalgia 1). It is Mario's signature vehicle in this game, with high Speed, Weight, Drift and Mini-Turbo. Its Bike counterpart is the Mach Bike.
It also appears in Mario Kart Tour.
Description[]
The Wild Wing takes the look of a round, sporty tuner car with an aerodynamic front, looking more like a McLaren F1 LM, which features sharp-looking headlights, which could be based on an Oldsmobile Intrigue. The front of the body bears a wide stripe followed by a narrow stripe in the middle, as well as having fenders on the bottom of the kart and under the wheels. In the cockpit is a sporty and comfortable seat, and behind it is a wide spoiler with Mario-style wings as its tips. It has a rear that bears resemblance to a Toyota Supra Mark IV, with an exhaust system consisting of two dual exhausts.
In Mario Kart Wii, it has tires with rims with a Star aesthetic. In Mario Kart Tour, they were replaced with what appears to be the Standard tires from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Appearances[]
Mario Kart Wii[]
The Wild Wing is a kart for Medium racers. As its aerodynamic body might imply, the Wild Wing features great Speed, Drift and Mini-Turbo. It's also the heaviest medium vehicle in the game. However, it has low Handling and Off-Road, as well as Acceleration, which is tied with the Jetsetter (Aero Glider) for the third worst behind the Flame Flyer and the Flame Runner (Bowser Bike).
Excluding Acceleration, it shares its Weight with the Phantom, its Off-Road and Handling with the Honeycoupe (Dragonetti) and the Blue Falcon, Its Off-Road with the Sneakster (Nitrocycle), its Drift with the Cheep Charger and the Shooting Star (Twinkle Star), with the latter shares its Mini-Turbo as well, a stat that the Booster Seat (Baby Booster) also shares.
The Wild Wing moves its wings when it is boosted, with nitrous coming from its exhaust pipes.

The Wild Wing reappears as of the Winter Tour (2019) in the mobile spin-off game, Mario Kart Tour, classified as a High-End Kart. It has Dash Panel Plus, which increases the boost length of and the points earnt from Dash Panels. It reuses Mario's variant from Mario Kart Wii, equipped with the Standard tires from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Over the years, 4 other variants of the Wild Wing have since been released: The Swift Jack, the Wild Black, the Wild Pink and the Wild Gold, which have Slipstream Plus, Mini-Turbo Plus, Dash Panel Plus, and Rocket Start Plus, respectively. They are all classified as High-End.
Unlike Mario Kart Wii, the wings on the Wild Wing's spoiler no longer flap when boosting.
